Custom 1991 Raw Silk Dupion Basque Waist Gown

• Literally my favourite gown I've ever come across. I have it in my shop window and it stops traffic.
• One of a kind vintage, custom made for the bride in 1991, costing the equivalent of today’s $12000
• Pure raw silk dupion in a faint blush tone
• The most flattering, romantic cut, low sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, basque waist with ruffled detail at shoulders and hips
• Skirt is a heavenly 2 layer affair - the top is an elaborate draped puff that exaggerates the hips. Underneath is a simple floor-length A-line
• Invisible zip in back
• Has been professionally cleaned but a couple of light marks remain that get lost in the drama of the dress. One at the back of the bodice and one at the skirt as pictured.
• Highly sought after, singular design that will be on the Pin board of every cool bride for the next decade at least! Truly memorable.
